Description	The often told tale of Hansel and Gretel begins in the woodcutter’s cottage. Lack of food in the cupboard has driven Stepmother Gertrude to cruelty. She persuades the father to take Hansel and Gretel deep into the forest and leave them. Lost in the forest the children come upon Witch Wicked’s beautiful candy house with its fence of gingerbread children. Will Hansel and Gretel escape the clutches of Witch Wicked before she can turn them into gingerbread children? What about Hansel and Gretel’s friends that followed their trail into the forest…come on out to Blackwell Playhouse for the retelling of this classic tale.
